For the first time since its inception, the Canadian Interventional Radiology Association is producing an annual report of its activities. Members will receive it in the mail in the coming week. "This publication will give members a chance to take a closer look at what their association has been doing to promote interventional radiology and encourage them to get involved," says CIRA executive director Annie Bilodeau.
The association's projects are moving along, thanks to the dedication of members of the working groups. Activities focus on establishing interventional radiology as a recognized subspecialty; fellowship standardization; improving the clinical profile and practice of IR amongst members; promoting interventional radiology to future physicians; working with partners; public relations and communications; and, the newly-formed group on working with other specialties to improve patient care.
